If you thought GM's Duramax was a great engine before, wait until you see it after it receives the Banks Power treatment for the Sidewinder S-10 diesel dragster. So far the truck has run 7.723 e/t and 179.21 mph in the 1/4 mile!
On March 6th, 2010 the Banks crew tested out the rail's new "Stroker" 427 cu. in., twin-turbo 7.0L Duramax engine at the NHRDA Nationals in Wittmann, Arizona.
“If you're ever crossing a mountain pass and you can't seem to keep up with the pickup or RV in front of you, chances are good you're following a Banks-equipped truck.”
